The Mitzvah of Giving
Your membership fees are vital to our longevity
By paying membership fees and generously donating, you are supporting your Beit Luria community. We want to be able to continue funding our Cantors, Rabbi, Torah Scroll insurance and other expenses involved in running a Synagogue. Yes, even while we’re online.
For members of the congregation already, it is traditional to settle outstanding shul membership fees prior to the Days of Awe. We understand that many of our members are feeling the pinch, but if you are in a position to settle your outstanding fees it will help take some of the strain off the shul’s finances. This is especially important for us after almost two years of foregoing in-person fundraisers, activities and revenues.
Please contact us at [email protected] to discuss any outstanding balance to arrange for payment.
Your generous donations keep our shul going
Membership fees do not, unfortunately, cover the entire operational costs of running a synagogue. It’s never too early or too late to make a donation towards our High Holy Days Appeal, and it’s never been needed more than during this, our second year under one form of lockdown or another.
We encourage our members to “give generously, but only within your means”. Whether that means R180 or R18,000 any and all donations will be gratefully accepted and acknowledged.
To make payments and donations as easy as possible, we have several payment options.
